On your marks, get set…GO!

The new Premier League Football season is finally here. It’s strange because even though the season only ended 2/3 months ago, it still felt one incredibly long summer.

What I miss about the football season is the drama that it brings. All the controversies, the new summer transfer players, the debates, the goals, the sight and sound. Finally, there is something to look forward to over the weekend. And of course, I always look forward to watching the TV highlights on Match Of The Day, at home, at the end of a long and tough day.

It’s funny how the new season has completely overshadowed the Rugby Internationals this afternoon. England v Wales at Cardiff’s Millennium stadium. There’s a World Cup just around the corner no one seems to pay that game a blind bit of attention. If this was a football game, the whole of the country would be taking the day off! No prizes for guessing which is the dominant sport in this country then.

There are few intriguing questions to be answered and hopefully we’ll see those answers this season. Who will win the race to the title? How will the debate for goal line technology develop? Will we ever get it? Which summer signing will be a success and which won’t? How will the new managers fare? Who will be the first to lose their jobs? It’s all shaping up to be an awesome season and I can’t wait to see it all unravel in the next 9 months.

I’m sure those answer will be answered. For now, away we go!

We're back!
